Homayoun is an ARDMS, registered sonographer. ARDMS is the premier national licensing agency for diagnostic medical sonographers. ARDMS and CARDUP registered sonographers are highly trained in obtaining and analyzing ultrasound images. ARDMS sonographers are obliged to do continuous education and write exams to qualify for licensing.As in human medicine, a licensed sonographer will acquire images and video clips and send the imaging for review to a board certified specialist. Every case that is submitted to the specialist will include the complete history and laboratory findings, which will provide the specialist a better overview of the case. Dr. Kafai reviews and writes report for sonography and sends images to board certified specialist as required with extra cost for consultation.Homayoun has been performing abdominal, obstetrical, vascular, musculoskeletal ultrasound in the human field for 20 years. In the past 3 years Homayoun has been performing veterinary ultrasound. Homayoon performs ultrasound as available and advises us with image techniques and tissue pathologies.
