Policies and guidelines of DKVH 24/7

It's essential for patients and their owners to be aware of these procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient treatment process. Here's a summary of the main points:

1. Identification: All clients must present a legal ID and proof of ownership or decision-making authority.

2. Appointment: New patients should contact DKVH to arrange an appointment.

3. Emergency Services: In case of emergencies, clients should call first to ensure the availability of emergency services.

4. Privacy and Communication: Treatment information will be provided only to the registered person or all family members at once to follow privacy guidelines and prevent miscommunications.

5. Hospitalized Patients: Owners can visit hospitalized patients between 8 AM to 8 PM with prior arrangements. Patient discharges will be between 8 AM to 8 PM unless there's a special medical condition and under veterinary supervision.

6. Prescriptions: Issuing a prescription for an external pharmacist is subject to a fee.

7. Payments: Invoices for hospitalized periods must be paid in advance using a credit card. Treatment can only begin after signing estimate and consent forms and paying the full invoice.

8. Medical History and Records: Providing detailed information about the pet's treatment history, including the regular veterinarian's information and full medical records, is essential for better treatment options.

9. Assessments and Treatment: The DKVH team will provide assessments, diagnostic procedures, treatment options, and estimates. Treatment advice can only be given after a proper examination and diagnostic procedures, not over the phone.

10. 24-Hour Services: DKVH provides 24-hour services to boarding pets and hospitalized patients but may not be available for accepting new patients 24/7.

11. Admission and Discharge Hours: For boarding and hotel guests, admission and discharge hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.

12. Medicine and Food Purchases: Make sure to buy the right medicine or food for your pet, as DKVH does not accept returns for food or medicines. Food sales are available from 8 AM to 8 PM, and there is no 24-hour service for selling food or products.

13. Payment Methods: DKVH accepts all major credit cards and debit cards but does not accept cheques or e-transfers. There are no payment plans available.

14. Emergency Fees: Emergency fees apply to short notice, same-day appointments, after-hours visits, weekends, and holidays, and non-regular client appointments.

By adhering to these policies, both DKVH and the pet owners can work together effectively to provide the best available treatment options for their patients.
